How Instagram posting works
- Its own schedule. Instagram posts run on a separate clock from YouTube, at the times you set.
- Echo YouTube by default. Out of the box it posts videos that are already live on YouTube, so Instagram never gets a video before you've seen it published.
- Limits checked first. Duration, size and caption length are checked against Meta's rules before anything is sent, so a post doesn't fail halfway.
- Off until you switch it on. Nothing posts to Instagram or Facebook until you turn that schedule on.
How Facebook Reels posting works
Videos post to your Facebook Page as Reels from the same finished files. You connect once with a Page token that doesn't expire, so the schedule doesn't stop after sixty days the way short-lived tokens do.
